Graciela Hasper (b. 1966, Argentina) is an outstanding continuator of the Argentine tradition of geometric abstraction rooted in the mid-1940s movement Madí. In the 1990s, Hasper was a leading figure in the Rojas Group, a group of artists exploring geometric abstraction in Buenos Aires. In 2000, she completed her first residency at Apex Art in New York with a Fulbright Grant, and in 2002 she participated in the Chinati Foundation residency in Marfa, Texas.

As art historian and curator Roberto Amigo notes, "Graciela Hasper's painting can be appreciated as paradoxes: their objective form, which continues the tradition of a chromatic and playful abstraction, is also emotional. Her painting remains free of all imitation and, at the same time, within the ribbons, circles and squares, the pure, saturated and vibrant colors share material without mixing but merely by modifying the tone or value."

Hasper has been commissioned to create large-scale mural projects for sites including Miami’s Faena Forum (designed by Rem Koolhaas of OMA), Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires, and is scheduled to unveil a large-scale mural at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport later this spring. Her works are included in several major collections including Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires; Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, Spain; Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA); Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH), Texas; the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania; Rice University Collection, Houston; Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, Spain; Jorge Pérez Collection; Eduardo Constantini Collection, Francis Greenburger Collection; etc.
