Participants in the 10th Mercosur Biennial, to be held in Porto Alegre, Brazil, have been announced. Among the 402 artists included, Sicardi Gallery is especially pleased to celebrate the inclusion of Abraham Palatnik, Antonio Berni, Carlos Rojas, Carmelo Arden Quin, Gabriel de la Mora, Sérvulo Esmeraldo, Geraldo de Barros, Oscar Muñoz, Luis Tomasello, León Ferrari, Juan Fernando Herrán, Joaquín Torres-García, Jesus-Rafael Soto, Iole de Freitas, Helio Oiticica, and Darío Escobar.
This edition of the Biennial is curated by a team led by historian and art critic Gaudêncio Fidelis (Brazil) and including Márcio Tavares (Brazil), Carmen Cebreros Urzaiz (Mexico), Fernando Davis (Argentina), Raphael Fonseca (Brazil), Ramón Castillo Inostroza (Chile), and Regina Teixeira de Barros (Brazil).
