On August 29 and 31, 2019, the first exhibition that was awarded to the artists Clemencia Echeverri and Felipe Arturo to develop two works in space will be opened in the Art and Memory Fragments space.
With the support of the National Museum of Colombia and the Ministry of Culture, Clemencia Echeverri presents the work Duelos, video installation of nine projections in synchrony that, together with three sound levels, embrace the room and evoke an endless duel that continues to happen in Colombia for forced disappearance.
She says “By proposing to generate a moment of public mourning as the central axis of the work, I produce a polyphony of image and acoustic vibration, between space and time full of silent stories about to speak, absent choirs and traces in fall of what individual and collective before frustrated excavations in the area of the Escombrera, Comuna 13, Medellín ”.
As a complement to the Duelos installation, the artist will have a book entitled Search Book available to the public, to receive written testimonies of mourners for forced disappearance. It is a document that will remain in the Fragment archives.
This work will be accompanied by a book-catalog with texts by José Roca, Juan Diego Pérez, Laura Flores and David Medina, supported by Parallel 10 and the collector Luis Javier Castro.

El 29 y el 31 de agosto de 2019 se dará apertura en el espacio de Arte y Memoria Fragmentos, la primera exposición que por convocatoria pública fue adjudicada a los artistas Clemencia Echeverri y Felipe Arturo para desarrollar dos obras en el espacio.
Con el apoyo del Museo Nacional de Colombia y el Ministerio de Cultura, Clemencia Echeverri presenta la obra Duelos, video instalación de nueve proyecciones en sincronía que, unidas a tres niveles sonoros, abrazan la sala y evocan un duelo sin fin que sigue sucediendo en Colombia por desaparición forzada.
Ella dice “Al proponerme generar un momento de duelo público como eje central de la obra, produzco una polifonía de imagen y vibración acústica, entre espacio y tiempo lleno de historias mudas a punto de hablar, de coros ausentes y de huellas en caída de lo individual y colectivo ante excavaciones frustradas en la zona de la Escombrera, Comuna 13, Medellín”.
Como complemento a la instalación Duelos, la artista tendrá al alcance del público un libro titulado Libro de Búsqueda , para recibir testimonios escritos de dolientes por desaparición forzada. Es un documento que quedará en los archivos de Fragmentos.
Esta obra estará acompañada de un libro-catálogo con textos de José Roca, Juan Diego Pérez, Laura Flores y David Medina, apoyado por Paralelo 10 y el coleccionista Luis Javier Castro.
