Graciela Hasper in Antológica at Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Franklin Rawson

Sicardi | Ayers | Bacino is pleased to announce Antológica, a retrospective exhibition for gallery artist Graciela Hasper (b. 1966, Argentina) at the Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Franklin Rawson in San Juan, Argentina. Curated by Roberto Amigo, the exhibition brings together 50 works of acrylic painting, watercolor, and installation art created from 1991 to the present that exemplify Hasper's exploration of color and form through geometric abstraction. Antológica will be on view from July 8 to September 4, 2022.

From Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Franklin Rawson: "In room 1, the museum welcomes Graciela Gachi Hasper. For the first time in San Juan, the artist presents a set of 50 works produced in different techniques: watercolors, acrylics, crayon pencil and installations. Curated by Roberto Amigo.

Recently awarded the 2022 Konex Prize for Visual Arts in the Painting category, the Franklin Rawson Museum proposes a review of the artist's work from a discourse sustained in the chromatic search, the abstraction of form, formats and the questioning of the transit between paper and frame. The curatorial selection speaks of the uniqueness of Hasper's work, creating the conditions to understand its abstract constructions.

Perception and sensory stimulation impact the gaze, the subtlety of harmonically created tints elevates the experience of playful combinations that give entity to color and its saturations. Autonomy, the emancipation of image and discourse, are born intuitively until the idea materializes in form and stresses in
the dispute between imagination and reason."
