Please join us on Saturday, January 18th at 5 pm, prior to the opening of the exhibit Miguel Angel Ríos: Merged with Vastness, for a conversation between curator Mariana Camargo and the artist Miguel Angel Ríos.
Miguel Angel Ríos's exhibition Merged with Vastness, includes bewildering and colorful desert panoramic landscapes populated by dogs, cacti, hills, and sometimes the mirage-like semblance of the artist himself. Upstairs, in the Project Room, Landlocked and Mulas, two powerful and suggestive videos from the artist's arsenal of exceptional videography. Both paintings and videos are actual and imagined pilgrimages across landscapes that call for reflection, contextualization and explanation by the artist, the curator and the viewers.
