Carlos Cruz-Diez
Commissioned to create a large-scale installation for the Marlins Stadium in Miami, Cruz-Diez developed Chromatic Induction in a Double Frequency, an entryway that covers four acres of land. The structure, produced in collaboration with Sicardi Gallery, consists of modules in three lines of color, repeated infinitely, and superimposed with another frequency of black lines. The effect generates colors that are not part of the painted support. As visitors enter the stadium, they observe color ranges appear and disappear in front of them.
