Description


Situations with Them is a mural consisting of 12 brightly painted circular vitrines inserted into the wall. Sealed with laminated glass, these vitrines evoke small theater stages, each lit with LED lights. Inside each box is a figurine or object engaged in an unexpected situation: a musician plays for a gathering of ducks, and a fox admires his reflection in a mirror, for example. Located at Public School IS 96 in Manhattan, the boxes offer students and visitors a fantastical set of scenarios for imaginative possibilities.
