Art_Latin_America: Against the Survey accompanied an exhibition of the same name, which was on view this past spring (February - June) at the Davis Museum at Wellesley College. The project was designed to highlight the museum's extensive holdings in Latin American and Latinx art, one of the strongest such collections in any university museum in the US. James Oles, adjunct curator of Latin American Art at the Davis Museum and senior lecturer in the college's Art Department, curated the exhibition and edited the book, which includes an introductory text followed by 70 object-focused essays by 40 curators and scholars from across the Americas.
