In conjunction with Print Houston 2014, Sicardi Gallery invites you to a conversation with José Aloy, Artistic Director of the Barcelona print workshop Polígrafa, followed by a reception at the gallery.

After serving for five years as Sales and Artist Relationship Director, José Aloy became Managing Partner at Polígrafa in July 2010. He studied business administration at ESADE University in Barcelona and international affairs at NYU, and he currently serves as a board member of the IFPDA (International Fine Print Dealers Association) and as part of the selection committee for ARCO in Madrid. He will speak about the Polígrafa workshop's 50 years of printing, and about the exhibition currently on view at Sicardi Gallery, Pressed: Prints from Latin America.

Print Houston is a summer-long celebration of original prints, the artists who create them, and the people who collect them. The calendar is filled with exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and special events at museums, galleries, non-profit organizations, and alternative spaces.
